Dr. Soha Abdelbaky

Dr Soha Talima is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Professor of Medical Oncology based in Dubai at Zulekha Hospital with over 18 years of experience in clinical oncology. She completed her primary medical qualification at Kasr Alainy Medical School, Cairo University, Egypt in 2003. She later completed her MD in Clinical Oncology at the same university in 2008. Dr Talima also holds a Master's degree and PhD in Medical Oncology from Cairo University.

Before moving to Dubai, Dr Talima practiced as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Kasr Alainy Centre of Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine in Egypt, one of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in the Middle East, for 14 years. She moved to Dubai and began working at Zulekha Hospital in 2019 and is now the Head of the Oncology Department at the hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Oncology at Cairo University.

Dr Talima is highly experienced in the treatment of cancer in both adults and children using chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. She has special interests in the following areas:

• Breast cancer
• Thoracic cancers
• Gynaecological cancers
• Haematological (blood) cancers
• Paediatric tumours
• Gastrointestinal cancers
• Head and neck tumours

Alongside her clinical expertise, Dr Talima has won several awards and participated in numerous conferences, workshops and oral presentations in the Middle East. She has published many papers in international journals - several of which she is the first author. Dr Talima also holds professional memberships with the European Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
