Dr Nancy Israel

Dr Nancy Israel is a Specialist Paediatric Haematologist and Oncologist at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai. She graduated from Cairo University in 2007 before completing her postgraduate training and fellowship in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo, Egypt, in 2010. The National Cancer Institute is one of the largest specialist cancer centres in the Middle East.

Dr Israel has more than 15 years of clinical experience in paediatric haematology and oncology. Her practice focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of children and adolescents with haematological disorders and childhood cancers from birth to 18 years of age. She is experienced in managing the complications and side effects associated with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other cancer treatments as part of multidisciplinary paediatric oncology care.

Her clinical expertise encompasses the diagnosis and management of a broad range of benign haematological conditions, including anaemia, neutropenia, immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), sickle cell disease, thalassaemia, haemophilia and inherited or acquired bleeding disorders.

In paediatric oncology, Dr Israel manages children with haematological malignancies, including acute leukaemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). She also has experience in the treatment of paediatric solid tumours, including neuroblastoma, nephroblastoma (Wilms' tumour), osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma and rhabdomyosarcoma.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Israel has delivered regional educational lectures and has participated in programmes promoting awareness of childhood cancer, supporting education for healthcare professionals, patients and families.
