Dr Jamil Ahmed

Dr Jamil Ahmed is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon and Managing Director at Prime Medical Center - Deira. Dr Ahmed specialises in back, knee and trauma surgery and has over 20 years of specialist experience in orthopaedics.

He obtained his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Madras, India. He then completed a Master's degree in Orthopaedic Surgery at Mangalore University, India in 1993.

After qualifying he completed a Fellowship in Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Mainz in Germany. He founded Prime Medical Centre in 1999 and has been practicing there as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon for over 22 years.

As Founder, his aim is to provide "personalized, comprehensive and affordable quality healthcare" for all his patients.

He has a wealth of experience in several areas of orthopaedics and has special interests in back and knee conditions. He typically sees patients with the following conditions:

• Knee problems from - sports injuries, wear & tear and osteoarthritis
• Fractures and dislocations

He also offers care to children with orthopaedic conditions. He actively promotes awareness of conditions such as osteoporosis, repetitive strain injuries and sports injuries through interactive seminars.
