Dr Abdul Kader Weiss is a Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgeon based in Dubai with over a decade of specialist clinical experience in general surgery. He has worked in several large hospitals in France, Syria and Dubai and currently sees patients at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital.

Dr Weiss completed his MD at Aleppo University, Syria in 1998 followed by his MBBCh degree in general surgery from the Ministry of Health in Damascus, Syria in 2003. After qualifying in surgery, he completed his specialist training in General Surgery & laparoscopic surgery in France, undertaking a Master's and Advanced Master's degree in Visceral Surgery at Jean Monnet University, Academy of Lyon. In 2007 he completed his Diploma of Laparoscopic Surgery at Montpellier University, France and became registered as a Specialist General Surgeon by the Syrian Ministry of Health in 2008.

He practiced in France and then in Syria from 2007 to 2012 before moving to the UAE to begin practicing at Medcare Hospital from 2013 to 2017, and at Emirates Specialty Hospital/ DHCC from 2017 to 2022. Dr Weiss became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2019 and began working his current role at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital in March 2022.

Dr Weiss has expertise in all areas of general surgery, in particular abdominal wall surgery and bariatric surgery. He is an expert in performing laparoscopic surgical procedures for the treatment and management of a number of conditions and surgical diseases. These surgical procedures include thyroidectomy, breast surgery, gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, cholecystectomy, acid reflux & hiatal hernia, abdominal wall hernia repair and many more.
