Dr Abdul Kader Weiss

Dr Abdul Kader Weiss is a Specialist General and Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeon with over 16 years of experience in advanced abdominal wall surgery and upper gastrointestinal tract surgery. He currently practises at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital in Dubai and has been working in the UAE since 2013. Prior to his current role, he served in two major healthcare groups in the region.

Dr Weiss began his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Aleppo University in Syria, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his general surgery specialisation through the Ministry of Health in Damascus, Syria. Between 2002 and 2008, he continued his surgical training in France, specialising in general, visceral, and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Weiss holds multiple advanced qualifications, including a Master and an Advanced Master in Visceral Surgery from Jean Monnet University, Academy of Lyon, France, and a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from Montpellier 1 University, France. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, USA.

His areas of clinical expertise include bariatric and weight loss surgery, acid reflux surgery, and advanced abdominal wall surgery. He regularly performs laparoscopic and robotic assisted abdominal wall hernias surgeries, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and gastric bypass surgeries, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, splenectomies, appendectomies, and upper GI procedures.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Weiss has contributed to several publications, in well recognized medical journals.

Dr Weiss speaks Arabic, English, and French.
