Dr Yun Phua

Dr Yun Phua is a highly qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon who has dedicated his career to both adult and paediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery. With a deep commitment to patient-centred care, he focuses on delivering personalised treatment plans that address both aesthetic goals and complex reconstructive needs. Dr Phua is widely recognised for his expertise in facial aesthetic surgery, craniofacial procedures, and reconstructive microsurgery, helping patients restore both form and function with compassion and precision.

His clinical interests span a broad spectrum of procedures, with a particular emphasis on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Dr Phua provides comprehensive care for conditions such as cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, and other head-shape anomalies. His surgical repertoire includes corrective jaw surgery, ear pinning, rhinoplasty, and scar revisions, as well as the management of skin cancer and paediatric skin lesions. Additionally, he is actively involved in advanced clinical research, exploring innovative treatments such as the use of three-dimensional printed biological scaffolds for complex facial reconstructions.

Dr Phua completed his Bachelor of Human Biology and his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Auckland in 2006. Following his initial medical training, he undertook specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. He further advanced his expertise through highly specialised post-fellowship training in craniomaxillofacial surgery and reconstructive microsurgery, completing fellowships at major paediatric and international institutions. Dr Phua is an active member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the Australasian Cleft Lip and Palate Association, and he serves as the President of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery.
