Dr. Yezen Sheena

Dr Yezen Sheena is a Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who sees private patients at the Lotus Institute in Southport, Queensland. He specialises in cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer surgery, hand surgery and reconstructive surgery, with expertise in trauma and cancer reconstruction.

Dr Sheena graduated from University College London in 2006 before completing general surgical training in London, Oxford and Birmingham. He subsequently completed specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the East of England, working in Cambridge, Norwich and Stevenage, and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery in 2017. He then completed an Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship in Chelmsford, followed by senior fellowships at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the Rodin Clinic in Western Australia, where he gained extensive experience in trauma, cancer reconstruction and cosmetic surgery.

In 2023, Dr Sheena was appointed as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with Queensland Health, providing care at Robina Hospital, Varsity Lakes Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital. He also holds a Senior Lecturer position at Griffith University and is actively involved in teaching, clinical research and the supervision of surgical trainees.

Dr Sheena was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery in 2025, in addition to his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery.
