Dr Vanessa Paddon

Dr Vanessa Paddon is a highly qualified Consultant Dermatologist based in St Leonards, Australia. She provides comprehensive care across general, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology, helping patients manage a wide range of skin conditions. With a patient-centred approach, Dr Paddon is dedicated to delivering personalised treatment plans that address both medical and aesthetic concerns, ensuring optimal skin health and patient reassurance.

Dr Paddon completed her medical training at the University of Sydney, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Medical Science. Following her initial clinical work, she pursued extensive postgraduate research at the University of Sydney, focusing on the molecular events involved in the progression of non-melanoma skin cancer. This research earned her a Master of Medicine in 2009, as well as the prestigious Young Investigator Award from the Australasian Society of Dermatological Research. Additionally, she completed a Master of Medicine in Infection and Immunity at the University of Sydney. Dr Paddon is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, having completed her specialist training across several major tertiary teaching hospitals.

In her clinical practice, Dr Paddon has a particular interest in the surgical and non-surgical management of skin cancer, acne, inflammatory skin disorders, and transplant dermatology. She is also highly skilled in treating hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and performing cosmetic procedures. Alongside her clinical work, she contributes to the education of the next generation of medical professionals as a Conjoint Lecturer, teaching Junior Doctors and Dermatologists-in-training. She has also presented her research at various national dermatological and scientific conferences.
