Dr Todd Goodwin

Dr Todd Goodwin is a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon based in Currajong, Australia. Born and raised in North Queensland, he is deeply committed to providing exceptional eye care to his local community and regional areas. Dr Goodwin offers comprehensive ophthalmic services, utilising advanced technology and evidence-based techniques to deliver personalised treatments that aim to restore and protect his patients' vision.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Goodwin manages various complex eye conditions. His areas of focus include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and retinal diseases. He is also highly trained in oculoplastics, eyelid repair, and paediatric ophthalmology. Notably, Dr Goodwin is one of only a handful of accredited Ophthalmic Surgeons in Australia trained in the specialised P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for PTERYGIUM® technique, a meticulous surgical method designed to achieve optimal cosmetic outcomes and minimise recurrence rates for patients suffering from pterygium. Dr Goodwin completed his medical degree at James Cook University, where he first developed a keen interest in ophthalmology. He subsequently undertook his specialist training in ophthalmology in Brisbane, Queensland. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship that provided specialised training in medical retina, oculoplastics, and paediatric ophthalmology. Dr Goodwin is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO). He is also actively involved in providing outreach ophthalmic services to rural and remote communities across Queensland, ensuring high-quality eye care is accessible to those in regional areas.
