Dr Talia Maayan

Dr Talia Maayan is a highly dedicated General Paediatrician and Developmental Paediatrician who specialises in supporting children with a diverse range of developmental, behavioural, and medical needs. With a clinical approach centred on providing holistic, strengths-based care, Dr Maayan works closely with families, educators, and allied health professionals to help children thrive. She is particularly passionate about helping parents navigate everyday challenges, ensuring that each child receives comprehensive and compassionate support tailored to their unique circumstances.

Throughout her career, Dr Maayan has developed extensive expertise in managing complex neurodevelopmental differences, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and intellectual or learning disabilities. Her clinical interests also encompass the management of complex genetic conditions, spina bifida, and permanent hearing loss. In her daily practice, she assists families in addressing common childhood concerns such as sleep difficulties, toileting issues, continence, feeding challenges, and behavioural management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver co-ordinated care.

Dr Maayan completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne and subsequently undertook her internship at a major metropolitan hospital. Committed to advancing her knowledge in public health and community medicine, she completed a Master of Public Health at Monash University in 2014. She has gained valuable experience working across prominent paediatric hospitals and community-based clinics in Melbourne. Dr Maayan is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting her high standards of clinical excellence and dedication to the field of paediatric medicine.
