Dr Itay Zelcer

Dr. Itay Zelcer is an experienced Paediatric Neurologist and consultant at the Monash Children's Hospital. He holds a medical degree (including an MSc in Neuroscience) from Israel, where he also completed his General Paediatric training (2012). Dr. Zelcer later went on to complete his Paediatric Neurology training at the British Columbia Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada (2016), and has been working as a consultant Paediatric Neurologist since then.

Itay and his family relocated to Melbourne in 2019. In 2020, he was recognized as a Paediatric Neurology specialist by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Itay provides care for patients with all types of neurological disorders; however, he has particular interests in epilepsy, neurogenetic conditions, developmental delay, headaches and tic disorders. When not working, Itay enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children exploring all that Australia has to offer.
