About Dr Jacinta Coleman
Dr Jacinta Coleman is General Paediatrician with a special interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Offspring Health. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1986 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She later trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has worked as the Head of Adolescent Medicine at Monash Children's Hospital in Adolescent Health for 20 years.
Dr Coleman combines her expertise in general paediatrics with her interest in good mental health outcomes to manage a broad range of medical issues at Offspring Health, particularly those conditions which bridge the gap between paediatrics and psychiatry. She has experience managing several cases of young people with eating disorders, anxiety, depression and psychosomatic illnesses. She has clinical interests in unsettled infants, feeding difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties.
Dr Coleman also has extensive experience in a wide range of general paediatric conditions including eczema, asthma, growth issues and developmental delay. Her passion is to support families in navigating the joys and challenges of each developmental stage of their children's lives, from infancy to adulthood.

Paediatrician hadn’t read my child psych report and it was our second or third visit. These services cost allot and I’d expect better preparation that this.
Jacinta is a great listener we’ve been seeing her for years
She is amazing, she has made a great impact on Lucas and has helped him in so many different areas of his life.
Dr Coleman is lovely, but I often feel as though we are just doing a quick check-in rather than having a proper consult (post the initial consultation which was detailed and she established excellent rapport). She is also always significantly running late for appointments.
Great bedside manner and always willing to take the time to explain and answer any concerns.
We cannot thank Jacinta enough, she has helped start to bring our child back to us. Her active listening to us and engaging with our child at their level has enabled recovery to begin. Jacinta made many accommodations specific to our child to assist with moving forward to allow health both physical and mental to be repaired. We know we still have a long road ahead but with Jacintas guidance we are filled with hope
