Dr Stephanie Chetrit

Dr Stephanie Chetrit is an experienced General Surgeon with a dedicated focus on colorectal surgery. She provides comprehensive surgical care, combining technical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of general and acute care surgical procedures, ensuring that patients receive high-quality treatment tailored to their individual needs.

With a strong interest in minimally invasive techniques, Dr Chetrit specialises in the laparoscopic management of colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Her areas of clinical focus also include pelvic floor disorders, such as incontinence and obstructive defecation, as well as general surgical interventions like hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, and pilonidal surgery. She is dedicated to maintaining patient dignity and ensuring clear communication throughout the treatment journey.

Dr Chetrit completed her medical education at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2001. Following her graduation, she undertook her specialist general surgery training locally in Western Australia. To further refine her skills, she completed advanced postgraduate training in colorectal surgery overseas. Dr Chetrit is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and has previously contributed to the medical community as a Consultant Surgeon and Director of Clinical Training in Surgery.
