Mr Ryan Schrale

Mr Ryan Schrale is a highly qualified General and Interventional Cardiologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing complex cardiovascular conditions. With a focus on evidence-based treatments, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes for his patients. His clinical practice spans the full spectrum of cardiology, with a particular emphasis on advanced, minimally invasive procedures designed to restore heart health and improve quality of life.

As a Specialist in Interventional Cardiology, Mr Schrale possesses extensive expertise in percutaneous coronary interventions and the acute treatment of myocardial infarction. His clinical interests also include the management of structural heart disease, transcatheter valve therapies, and the treatment of complex and calcified coronary lesions. He is an accredited transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) implanter and is highly skilled in advanced techniques such as rotational atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy, which uses acoustic pressure waves to safely modify calcified blockages in the coronary arteries.

Mr Schrale completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide before undertaking specialist training in cardiology. Committed to academic excellence, he also earned a Master of Science in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford. To further refine his skills, he completed prestigious international fellowships in interventional cardiology at leading medical institutions in Oxford and Boston, and served as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ), the European Society of Cardiology (FESC), and the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
