Dr Russell Manley

Dr Russell Manley is a highly qualified General Surgeon who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. He specialises in all aspects of general surgical care, with a dedicated subspecialty interest in upper gastrointestinal and endocrine surgery. Known for his reassuring and professional approach, Dr Manley is committed to helping patients make well-informed decisions about their health. He utilises the latest surgical techniques to ensure optimal clinical outcomes, managing both common and complex conditions with precision and empathy.

Dr Manley commenced his medical journey at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). He completed his junior medical career and general surgical training in South East Queensland, achieving admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2018. Following this, he undertook advanced post-fellowship training in endocrine and upper gastrointestinal surgery. He is also an active member of Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgery (ANZES).

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Manley is deeply invested in medical education and research. He serves as a Senior Lecturer, supervising and teaching general surgical trainees, junior medical staff, and university medical students. He also holds leadership roles, including Deputy Director of Surgery and Staff Specialist. Dr Manley regularly contributes to ongoing medical research, presents at national conferences, and continuously updates his knowledge to deliver the highest standard of modern surgical care.
