Dr Richard Symes

Dr Richard Symes is a highly trained ophthalmologist. Dr Symes graduated from Imperial College, London. He completed ophthalmology residency training in London, UK. Dr Symes undertook subspecialty fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Dr Symes completed subspecialty glaucoma training at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Dr Symes has a particular interest in the surgical management of uveitis, including cataract and glaucoma in patients with uveitis.

Dr Symes has held the position of Britain���s representative to the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) young ophthalmologists committee. In addition, Dr Symes served on the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Scientific committee and Surgical Skills committee. Dr Symes has been actively involved in clinical trials for retinal diseases. He has written a number of articles in the scientific press on cataract surgery visual outcomes.
