Dr Pritpal Bansi

Dr Pritpal Bansi is a highly qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the shoulder, elbow, and hand. With a patient-centred approach, he provides comprehensive care for a wide range of upper limb and paediatric orthopaedic conditions. Dr Bansi is dedicated to delivering both surgical and non-surgical solutions tailored to each patient's unique needs, helping them regain mobility, alleviate pain, and return to their daily activities. His clinical practice encompasses trauma, sports injuries, and reconstructive microsurgery.

Dr Bansi completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1996, followed by advanced training in orthopaedics within the Queensland training programme. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. To further refine his skills, he undertook highly specialised fellowship training in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, including microsurgery, at a dedicated hand unit in Sydney. Dr Bansi is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and a Certified Independent Medical Examiner. He maintains active memberships with several professional bodies, including the Queensland Shoulder Society, the Queensland Hand Surgery Society, the Australian Hand Surgery Society, the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, and the AO Alumni Association.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Bansi has contributed significantly to the medical community as a Senior Lecturer, sharing his expertise with the next generation of medical professionals. He has also served as the Director of Orthopaedics at a major regional hospital and continues to share his knowledge by presenting at both national and international scientific meetings. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Bansi provides expert medico-legal consultations, utilising his extensive expertise to deliver independent medical examinations.
