Dr Philippa Rabbitt

Dr Philippa Rabbitt is a highly experienced General Surgeon and Colorectal Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care to her patients. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she focuses on delivering high-quality clinical outcomes. Dr Rabbitt is dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of general surgical conditions, ensuring that each patient receives personalised care tailored to their specific medical needs.

Her primary areas of clinical interest lie in the management of both benign and malignant colorectal diseases, as well as various anal disorders. Dr Rabbitt performs a variety of specialised procedures, including colonoscopies, haemorrhoid surgeries, and treatments for pilonidal disease and anal fissures. Additionally, she is highly skilled in complex surgeries such as rectal prolapse repairs and colectomies for diverticular disease or colorectal cancer. Her general surgical expertise also extends to performing abdominal wall hernia repairs and cholecystectomies.

Dr Rabbitt completed her medical education at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1995. Following her undergraduate training, she undertook extensive postgraduate surgical training to specialise in her field. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of surgical practice and continuing professional development.
