Dr Mohammed Al-Moktar is a Consultant Nephrologist and General Physician with over 3 decades of experience. He completed his medical degree at the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1989 and was awarded his Fellowship in Internal Medicine by the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specializations in 1999. Dr Al-Moktar later moved to Australia and completed further training in Internal Medicine, followed by advanced training in Nephrology in Victoria and New South Wales. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2014.

Dr Al-Moktar is based in Melbourne and is currently available for consultations at HeartWest Hoppers Crossing, St Albans and Sunbury. He has special clinical and research interests in acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease.
