Emily and Shatel on reception were very warm helpful and clear with instructions re Heart Bug. Also having been very late unexpectedly sur to road closures and delays, I was soon relaxed again given these lovely people's calming effect.

The different people who did my ECG and stress test were very nice. They made me feel comfortable. The doctor I saw was nice, but I felt a little embarrassed as he made me feel silly for worrying about my symptoms (as I am young). Ultimately, I was experiencing shortness of breath which is a concerning symptom. My GP is the one who gave me the referral for Heart West and a lung specialist to rule out anything serious before we conclude that it is most likely anxiety. So to have those referrals, and my GP recognising the seriousness of my symptoms, I feel that I didn't get that same feeling at Heart West. Yes I am young, yes it is unlikely that it is something serious, but it is possible, and I am the one paying for the service and taking the time out of work to complete these tests for my peace of mind. I think I felt the worst at the final consult where the doctor read out my results in less than 30 seconds (I waited approx 30 mins for this) and reiterated again that 'of course' it is all fine and he won't need to see me for another 50 years. He didn't even ask or follow up about the symptoms I had coming in. He could have explained the test results in more detail even though they were clear. I felt silly and a little bit mocked. Also further feedback, I am aware that results normally have to be told over the phone. But, these types of appts where the doctor has you come in and out in less than a minute because everything is clear, should have the option to be done over the phone (which I requested and was asked to come in).

Excellent service at reception

have been going to clinic for over 12 years and the visits have been extremely poor. The waiting times are greater than 1hr (sometimes 2.5 hrs), the staff are not punctual . How can someone have an appointment at 9am when the clinic does not open until 9 or most times after 9. Referrals being lost and appointments always changing, it never ends. Really poor experience with the clinic thus far. The only good thing is i suppose that things can only improve from here on.

Not a great experience with the heart specialist, long wait times and no conclusion. He didn’t seem to believe me. Other staff were fine.
