Dr Melinda Morpeth

Dr Melinda Morpeth is a highly regarded General Paediatrician who provides comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents from birth through to 18 years of age. Reassuring and professional, she is dedicated to supporting the health, development, and overall well-being of young patients. Dr Morpeth manages a broad spectrum of paediatric concerns, with a particular focus on supporting families through developmental, behavioural, and medical challenges.

With a compassionate and family-centred approach, Dr Morpeth has a special interest in addressing developmental and behavioural concerns, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, learning differences, and sleep issues. She is also highly experienced in managing unsettled babies and treating common childhood conditions such as asthma, eczema, constipation, and toileting concerns. Her practice is characterised by a collaborative approach, working closely with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children.

Dr Morpeth graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University. She subsequently completed a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education from Flinders University in 2018. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Morpeth is deeply passionate about medical education. She has contributed significantly to the field as a Clinical Teaching Fellow and Co-ordinator within university paediatric departments. Her professional journey also includes valuable international experience, having completed paediatric rotations and educational fellowships overseas, including placements in New Zealand and Laos, where she served as a Clinical Education Fellow.
