About Dr Mark Boccola
Dr. Mark Boccola is a highly specialised Bariatric and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon. He was raised in Newcastle, NSW, and earned his medical degree from the University of Newcastle Medical School in 2006. Dr. Boccola then underwent extensive training in general surgery in Victoria, resulting in the award of his Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2015.
Additionally, he pursued post-fellowship training through the ANZ Gastro-Oesophageal Surgical Association (ANZGOSA), focusing on cancer resection and hiatal hernia repair.
