Dr George Liang

Dr George Liang is a highly trained breast, endocrine and general surgeon based in the Greater Sydney area, known for his patient-centred and evidence-based approach to care. He completed a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2008, followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 at the University of Tasmania. In 2019, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) after completing his surgical training with the Sydney West Local Health District at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Liang specialises in a broad range of procedures, including thyroid and parathyroid surgery, open and posterior retroperitoneoscopic (keyhole) adrenalectomy, and advanced breast surgery techniques such as oncoplastic surgery, therapeutic mammaplasty, and nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomy. He also treats benign breast conditions and performs general and laparoscopic surgery.

Committed to delivering personalised care, Dr Liang takes the time to understand each patient’s individual circumstances, including their family, career, and goals for recovery. Alongside his clinical work, he is dedicated to education, teaching surgery to medical students through the University of Notre Dame at Auburn Hospital.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys travelling and spending quality time with his wife and young son.
