Dr Lloyd Malone is a highly dedicated and versatile General Practitioner and Rural Generalist who provides comprehensive medical care to regional communities. With a strong commitment to patient-centred care, he delivers a broad range of medical services, ensuring that individuals and families in rural areas have access to high-quality healthcare. With a diverse clinical background, Dr Malone possesses advanced skills in several key areas of medicine. He is a qualified General Practitioner Anaesthetist, with a scope of practice that encompasses emergency medicine, acute care, and resuscitation. His extensive experience includes both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aeromedical retrieval, as well as pre-hospital and hospital-based trauma management. Additionally, Dr Malone has a keen interest in diving and hyperbaric medicine, child health, and aviation medicine, allowing him to address a wide spectrum of complex medical needs.

Prior to transitioning to regional general practice, Dr Malone built a distinguished career in military medicine, serving as a Medical Officer in the Australian Army. This extensive background in high-pressure environments has equipped him with exceptional skills in trauma care, emergency response, and acute clinical decision-making. His transition to rural general practice allows him to apply these specialised skills to benefit local communities, providing robust and reliable medical support when it is needed most.

Dr Malone holds a comprehensive suite of academic and professional qualifications. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (BA(Hons)). Committed to continuous professional development, he has obtained a Diploma of Rural Generalist Anaesthesia (DRGA), a Diploma of Child Health (DCH), and a Graduate Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval. He is also a qualified Aviation Medical Officer (AvMO) and has completed training in underwater medicine. Dr Malone is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Fellow of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP).
