Dr. Heshan Dharmaratna

Dr Heshan Dharmaratna is an experienced General Practitioner with over two decades of broad clinical experience spanning primary care, emergency medicine, ophthalmology, and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nishtar Medical College in 2002. Originally from Sri Lanka, he relocated to Australia over a decade ago and has practiced extensively across major metropolitan and regional centers, including Canberra, Sydney, and Fairfield Hospital.

Now settled in Batemans Bay, Dr Dharmaratna delivers comprehensive, whole-of-life primary and preventative healthcare at Beach Road Surgery & Skin Clinic. He maintains a special clinical interest in managing complex chronic medical conditions, mental health, men's health, geriatric care, and travel medicine. Additionally, he actively serves in the emergency departments at Batemans Bay and Moruya Hospitals, maintaining advanced life support capabilities (ALS 1 & ALS 2) and providing critical acute care to the local community.

Alongside his direct clinical practice, Dr Dharmaratna provides aged care and nursing home medical services, pre-employment occupational medical examinations, and WorkCover assessments.
