Dr Lee Ong

Dr Lee Ong is a highly qualified General Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care with a patient-centred approach. He specialises in a broad range of general surgical procedures, with a particular focus on breast surgery, endocrine surgery, and skin cancer management. Dr Ong is dedicated to delivering personalised and reassuring care, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored treatment plan designed to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Dr Ong completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Monash University in Melbourne. He went on to obtain his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery in 1998. To further refine his surgical expertise, he undertook a post-fellowship position in general surgery at a major hospital in Brisbane, followed by two years of intensive training in oncoplastic breast surgery at a renowned breast unit in Western Australia. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at a prominent medical school. Dr Ong is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Australian Society of Breast Disease, General Surgeons of Australia, and the Australasian Doctors Association.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ong manages a diverse array of conditions, ranging from common general surgical issues to complex oncological cases. His areas of interest include laparoscopic and open hernia repairs, laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder issues, and the treatment of haemorrhoids and perirectal bleeding. He is highly skilled in performing both benign and malignant breast surgeries, including immediate implant breast reconstruction, breast augmentation, and gynaecomastia surgery. Additionally, Dr Ong provides expert skin cancer assessments and surgical excisions, as well as in-clinic procedures such as vasectomies and circumcisions.
