Dr Lauren Beswick

Dr Lauren Beswick is a highly dedicated and compassionate Consultant Gastroenterologist practising in Geelong, Australia. She is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of digestive and liver disorders. With a strong clinical focus on inflammatory bowel disease and hepatocellular carcinoma, Dr Beswick works closely with her patients to develop tailored management plans that support their long-term health and well-being.

Dr Beswick completed her medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London, where she also earned an additional honours science degree. After relocating to Australia, she undertook her comprehensive training as a Physician and completed her specialist training as a Gastroenterologist. She subsequently completed advanced training in Gastroenterology, which included two clinical fellowship years dedicated to inflammatory bowel diseases. Dr Beswick is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and holds an MBBS (Hons).

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Beswick is actively involved in medical education and clinical research. She serves as a Senior Lecturer, teaching and examining medical students, and regularly mentors Physician Trainees. Her commitment to advancing the field of Gastroenterology is reflected in her active participation in local and national research projects, particularly in the area of inflammatory bowel disease, with numerous findings published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
