Dr Andrew Tsoi

Dr Andrew Tsoi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in Melbourne, bringing a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to patient care. Having completed his medical degree at Griffith University, he undertook extensive specialist physician training across Austin Health, Eastern Health, Northern Health, and St Vincent's Health. He possesses rare dual qualifications in medicine and law, holding a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, which strongly shape his specialised interest in medico-legal issues and clinical governance.

In addition to his broad clinical practice, which encompasses managing complex gastrointestinal conditions and performing both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, Dr Tsoi has a strong background in academic research. He completed a prestigious Liver Research Fellowship at Eastern Health, where his research focused heavily on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (MASLD/MASH) and novel biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma. As a Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Australasian College of Legal Medicine (FACLM), Dr Tsoi is deeply committed to advancing clinical standards and medical education, holding postgraduate Master's degrees in both Internal Medicine and Public Health from the University of Sydney and regularly contributing published research to leading peer-reviewed gastroenterology journals.
