About Victorian Bariatric Surgery Centre
The Victorian Bariatric Surgery Centre is home to a team of industry recognised specialist physicians, dieticians and psychologists with over 3 decades of experience in weight management.
The team is led by expert laparoscopic surgeon Professor Peter Nottle, who brings his extensive knowledge of laparoscopic surgery to the practice, with particular expertise in upper GI cancer and bariatric surgery. The rest of the clinical team consists of general practitioners, respiratory specialists and a specialist dietician - each committed to providing their patients with one-to-one support at every step of their journey towards lifelong weight management.
The team prides themselves in providing a uniquely designed, holistic approach to weight management. All patients are provided with education before their surgical procedure as well as encouragement before, during and after all treatments.
Specialist Dietician Helen Bauzon is also readily available with support group meetings, nutritional workshops and health coaching to help maximise the benefits of weight loss surgery, ensure all concerns are laid to rest and to promote lifelong weight management post surgery. Victorian Bariatric Surgery Centre is also partnered with the Psychological Services Group, who's specialists provide a broad range of support services for their bariatric patients, including issues with body image and self-esteem as well as anxiety and depression.
The centre offers a number of bariatric procedures, including weight loss programme ORBERA, Lap Band gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, biliopancreatic diversion and laparoscopic gastric bypass. Before surgery patients will undertake pre-surgical consultations and education to discuss their goals and treatment options as well as undertake a three-week Optifast diet. Post surgery the team offers all the support they can to help patients maintain their weight and offer a number of post-operation consultations.
All members of the medical team are registered with the appropriate professional bodies and perform safe and ethical procedures to the standard of the guidelines set.

The centre is clean and organised. Wait time was minimal & staff were fantastic. Organisation was on point with communications in the lead up to the procedure and then even a follow-up the next day.

Long wait for a scheduled appointment and then another wait for hospital admission forms. I saw the Dr for less than 5 min but spent one hour and 20 minutes in the surgery.

You are about to have a revisional bariatric operation. As you are aware, all weight loss operations may require revisional surgery due to a problem that has developed (eg. pouch dilatation/slippage with a lap band or gastric stenosis or reflux after a sleeve gastrectomy) or due to weight regain.
