Dr Katie Thomson

Dr Katie Thomson is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, she focuses on delivering high-quality medical services that support long-term health and well-being. Dr Thomson is committed to understanding each patient's unique health journey, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their healthcare.

In her clinical practice, Dr Thomson has developed a strong focus on the prevention and management of chronic lifestyle-related conditions, helping patients make sustainable changes to improve their quality of life. Her areas of clinical interest also include geriatric care, supporting older patients to maintain their independence and health, as well as palliative care, where she provides compassionate support during challenging times. Additionally, she is skilled in performing minor clinical procedures, such as skin biopsies, the excision of skin lesions, and the insertion and removal of Implanon contraceptive devices. She is also dedicated to supporting Aboriginal health initiatives.

Dr Thomson completed her medical education and initial training in the United Kingdom, where she grew up and studied. She relocated to Australia in 2011 to continue her medical career.
