Dr Jazlyn Read

Dr Jazlyn Read is a specialist dermatologist. They are accredited to perform Mohs Micrographic Surgery. Dr Read's areas of interest include skin cancer assessment and surgical treatment, particularly for facial skin cancers.

Dr Read graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery. During their residency, they also obtained a Master of Philosophy. Their thesis, "Familial Melanoma Risk Genes in Queensland," received the Dean's Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses from the University of Queensland.

Before specialising in dermatology, Dr Read travelled to Cape Town, South Africa, to develop surgical skills as a Plastic Surgery registrar. They further refined their surgical experience as a Plastic Surgery Principal House Officer in Queensland. This extensive surgical background paved the way for their transition into dermatology with a focus on surgical procedures.
