Dr Javier Camargo

Dr Javier Camargo is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a holistic approach to medicine, he enjoys all aspects of general practice and is committed to supporting the health and well-being of patients of all ages and backgrounds. Dr Camargo believes in building strong, trusting relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their healthcare journeys.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Camargo qualified with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and practised as a registered Pharmacist. He then went on to complete his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at The University of Queensland, graduating in 2010. Following his graduation, he completed extensive post-graduate training at major tertiary and paediatric hospitals in Brisbane. To further refine his expertise, he obtained a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney and completed advanced certifications in children's and women's health at leading specialist hospitals in Sydney. Dr Camargo attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016, reflecting his high standard of clinical excellence.

Throughout his career, Dr Camargo has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is particularly passionate about child health, men's health, and sexual health, including the management of Hepatitis C. Additionally, he is highly experienced in travel medicine, mental health support, and LGBTQI health, providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all patients. He is also registered to provide antenatal shared care, supporting expectant mothers through their pregnancy journeys.
