Dr James Mulvany

Dr James Mulvany is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents. He employs a family-centred and collaborative approach to his practice, ensuring that parents and carers are active partners in their child's healthcare journey. Dr Mulvany is committed to delivering reassuring and professional medical support, helping families navigate both acute and chronic health concerns with empathy and clarity.

With a broad range of clinical expertise, Dr Mulvany manages a wide spectrum of paediatric conditions. He has a particular interest in neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). His practice also encompasses general paediatric concerns such as newborn and infant health, asthma, eczema, and gastrointestinal issues like reflux, constipation, and chronic abdominal pain. Whether addressing developmental milestones or managing complex behavioural challenges, he focuses on practical, tailored strategies to support each child's growth and well-being.

Dr Mulvany completed his medical degree at University College Dublin, qualifying in 2007. He went on to obtain membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in London in 2011. After relocating to Australia, he undertook extensive postgraduate paediatric training at a major tertiary children's hospital in Sydney and completed a fellowship in General Paediatrics, serving as Chief Resident Medical Officer at a prominent children's hospital in Newcastle. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018.
