Dr Yonatan Herman

Dr. Yonatan Herman completed his medical studies at Semmelweis University (Budapest, Hungary) in 2010. Following a 5 year training program at the leading tertiary hospital in Israel, Schneider Children's Medical Centre (SCMC), he obtained specialization in general paediatrics in 2017.

After receiving credentialing as a paediatric specialist, he worked at the day hospitalisation department at SCMC as a paediatric consultant managing diagnostically complex cases of pediatrics, including infectious diseases, rheumatology problems , gastrointestinal issues and developmental difficulties among others.

Yonatan arrived with his wife and three children to Melbourne in 2019. He subsequently gained additional experience working at tertiary hospitals, including the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Monash Health, before being awarded a Fellowship in General Paediatrics by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Yonatan enjoys treating children of all ages – from neonates to adolescents – with particular interests in the management of issues such as failure to thrive (poor growth), rheumatological problems, asthma, atopic dermatitis and developmental issues like autism or ADHD.

In his free time he likes spending time with family, rock climbing, running long distances, and road biking around Victoria's picturesque landscape.
