Mr Iwan Bennett

Mr Iwan Bennett is a highly skilled and dedicated Neurosurgeon who provides comprehensive care for adult patients experiencing a wide range of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve conditions. Mr Bennett has a particular clinical interest in the microsurgical and endoscopic treatment of skull base tumours, including vestibular schwannomas (acoustic neuromas), meningiomas, and pituitary region tumours. His expertise also extends to treating degenerative spinal conditions, sciatica, spinal cord pathologies, brain tumours, aneurysms, trigeminal neuralgia, hydrocephalus, and carpal tunnel syndrome. By utilising advanced minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques, he aims to optimise patient outcomes, reduce recovery times, and enhance overall quality of life.

Mr Bennett completed his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland. He undertook his specialist neurosurgical training across several major tertiary and paediatric hospitals in Sydney and Melbourne, culminating in a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Driven by a passion for clinical research, he also earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne, focusing on brain cancer treatment. To further refine his skills, Mr Bennett completed a prestigious post-fellowship skull base surgery programme in London, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia.
