Dr Gary Beckhurst is a highly experienced General Practitioner with a dedicated focus on Obstetrics & Gynaecology, family planning, and comprehensive family medicine. Known for his calm, warm, and reassuring manner, he is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised care to patients of all ages. Throughout his career, Dr Beckhurst has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, particularly in women's and men's health. His expertise in gynaecology and family planning encompasses hormone therapy, menopause management, and procedural services such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals. Additionally, he is highly skilled in performing vasectomies, skin cancer detection and treatment, including the excision of skin lesions, and sports medicine. His balanced approach combines advanced clinical skills with deep empathy, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate and tailored care.

Dr Beckhurst obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne in 1977. Committed to expanding his clinical capabilities, he went on to complete a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1980, followed by a Certificate of Family Planning (Cert AFFPA) in 1981. He also holds a Certificate in Sports Medicine and is a member of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia (MCPSA).
