Dr Megan Byrnes

Dr Megan Byrnes is a highly experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently practicing at Fertility North within Joondalup Private Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney (2006), where she also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science (2002).

Dr Byrnes began her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital before completing senior training at Joondalup Health Campus. Passionate about reproductive health, she later expanded her expertise by completing a Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine at the University of New South Wales.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of treatments, including fertility care, advanced laparoscopic surgery, endometriosis management, fibroid and polyp removal, hysterectomy (laparoscopic, vaginal, and abdominal), and pelvic floor and vaginal reconstructive procedures such as vaginoplasty and labiaplasty. She also provides care for women experiencing urinary incontinence, vaginal pain, and post-childbirth scarring.

Known for her empathetic and patient-focused approach, Dr Byrnes combines surgical precision with a compassionate understanding of women’s health, ensuring every patient receives comprehensive, tailored care throughout their treatment journey.
