Dr Elizabeth Potter

Dr Elizabeth Potter is a General Medicine Physician. Dr Potter sees patients with multiple comorbidities and patients with diagnostic dilemmas. Dr Potter has a particular interest in heart failure in the elderly. Dr Potter is passionate about both prevention and treatment of heart failure, considering the patients' age, comorbidities, and social circumstances. Dr Potter believes this holistic approach is the specialty of a general physician. The diagnosis of symptoms which may have multiple causes, including heart disease, such as breathlessness, is also the specialty of a general physician.

Dr Potter's PhD investigated whether early detection of abnormal heart function and treatment could prevent heart failure. Dr Potter's current research focus is improving heart failure care with the use of heart and lung ultrasound. Dr Potter has presented research at national and international conferences and has published in high impact journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Imaging.

Outside of work Dr Potter enjoys spending time with their young family and unwinding with yoga and paddle boarding.
