Dr Min Min Thant

Dr Min Min Thant is a dedicated general practitioner currently consulting at Mandalay Family Clinic in Hoppers Crossing. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Medicine 2 in Myanmar in 2005. Following her degree, she undertook extensive postgraduate training across several major teaching hospitals in Myanmar, where she strengthened her clinical knowledge and developed a broad foundation in patient care.

Over the past eight years, Dr Thant has built a diverse portfolio of experience working as a GP in both Myanmar and the Cook Islands. Her international practice has shaped her patient-centred approach and deepened her understanding of the varied healthcare needs of multicultural communities. In 2015, she was awarded her Australian Medical Council Certificate, enabling her to continue delivering high-quality medical care within Australia.

Dr Thant has a particular interest in Family Medicine and is committed to supporting individuals and families across all stages of life. She strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care and values building long-term relationships with her patients. Fluent in both English and Myanmar, she is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of patients and create an inclusive, supportive clinical environment.
