Dr Arunavo Chatterji

Dr Arunavo Chatterji is a Clinical Cardiologist and a recognised specialist in cardiac imaging, particularly proficient in all aspects of echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) and Stress Echocardiography. He currently practices with the Heartscope Specialist Group in St Albans and Werribee.

Dr Chatterji completed his medical degree at the University of Delhi, India in 1994 followed by his Doctor of Medicine and Diploma of National Board (India). He later relocated to the UK and completed his postgraduate training in general internal medicine and clinical cardiology at the North Deanery in Edinburgh. He later became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh before relocating to Australia. In 2014, he received his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He also holds accreditation for reporting cardiac CT scans and CT coronary angiograms.

Alongside his private practice, Dr Chatterji holds the position of Director of Medicine at Griffith Base Hospital in New South Wales. His clinical interests encompass a wide spectrum, including the investigation of chest pain, cardiovascular risk assessment, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and preventive and clinical cardiology. Dr Chatterji is also actively engaged in clinical research and educational pursuits, where he has contributed as a Senior Lecturer at both the University of New South Wales and the Charles Sturt University.
