Mr Devinder Garewal

Mr Devinder Garewal is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2005 followed by his specialist orthopaedic training in Victoria. Mr Garewal became a Fellow in Orthopaedics of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2015. After completing his orthopaedic training, Mr Garewal completed subspecialty fellowships in shoulder surgery and upper limb trauma. He later worked as an orthopaedic trauma fellow at Austin Hospital in Melbourne, as well as a 12 month international fellowship in France, Italy and England.

Mr Garewal is based in Melbourne and currently sees patients at Austin Health and Melbourne Arm Clinic. He specialises in all aspects of shoulder surgery and trauma management, seeing patients with the following injuries and conditions:

• Bursitis
• Rotator cuff injury
• Shoulder arthritis
• Shoulder tendinopathy (Pitcher's shoulder)

He offers a range of treatments, including: shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement surgery, rotator cuff repair, acromioclavicular joint excision and acromioclavicular joint stabilisation.
