Dr Deborah Amott

Dr Deborah Amott is a Consultant Head & Neck Surgeon with over a decade of experience in the treatment and management of head & neck cancer and complex peri-operative conditions. She specialises in paediatric ENT surgery and functional nasal surgery and sees private patients at ENT North, Gisborne.

Dr Amott earned her primary medical qualification from the University of Melbourne, after which she went on to complete her residency at St Vincent's Hospital. She then undertook her basic surgical training, including thoracic surgery before changing to undertake ENT Surgery training in Victoria. She was then awarded an international fellowship at the UC Davis Medical Center, California. Due to her prior training in thoracic surgery, Dr Amott has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the management of surgical conditions and makes her ENT practice unique. As a parent of a young child, Dr Amott can also empathise with the concerns of parents who are considering surgery for their children.
