Mr Philip Jumeau

Dr Philip Jumeau is an Australian trained and qualified Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Head, and Neck Surgeon, graduating with honors from Monash University in 1996 and achieving his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2005. After nearly 15 years of generalist ENT, Head and Neck surgery practice, with a strong interest in rhinoplasty, since 2019 he has worked exclusively in the field of nasal reconstruction: Operating, research and teaching nationally and internationally. 

His work often involves complex nasal surgery: Revision rhinoplasty, large septal perforation repair, rhinoplasty in cleft palate and nasal trauma. This may be for improved breathing (Functional) or appearance (Cosmetic) and Dr Jumeaus' patient group often involves both of these areas. Despite this experience in complex and revision cases he has an interest in primary rhinoplasty, rhinoplasty in athletes and Asian rhinoplasty. His philosophy centres around optimising nasal structure, for greater control of the aesthetic and achieving a long lasting result, and meticulous post operative aftercare.

He works at Melbourne Rhinoplasty, his private practice in East Melbourne, and operates privately at Epworth Freemasons and Hawthorn. In public, he operates and teaches at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital just in the field of nasal obstruction and rhinoplasty. 

Outside of work, Dr Jumeau has a farm in the Yarra Valley where he and his family spend much of their time. His interests include all things farming, construction and earthworks. He has been an active mountain bike and motorbike rider and racer and enjoys fitness, snow sports, food and travel. Over his life he has been involved in motorcycle and car restoration projects.
