Dr David Badov

Dr David Badov is a specialist gastroenterologist based at Direct Endoscopy in Melbourne. He is also the founder and medical director of HealthScreen, which offers patients the latest diagnostic and screening facilities. Dr Badov has over 30 years of experience in internal medicine and gastroenterology and has expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Over the past 18 years, he has performed more than 100,000 endoscopic procedures.

He specialises particularly in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, with other interests in liver disease, particularly viral hepatitis and hepatology.

He gained his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Melbourne and undertook his training at the Royal Melbourne, Alfred, and Frankston hospitals.

He has been involved in research and has published widely in journals, including major international gastroenterology journals. He is also the head of gastroenterology at the Frankston and Rosebud hospitals at Peninsula Health, as well as the director of the Peninsula Liver Clinic.

Dr Badov is a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia and the Australian Liver Association.
