Dr Daryl Cheng is a Consultant Paediatrician with over a decade of experience experience in acute paediatric care and clinical information management. He holds posts at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, University of Melbourne and the Monash Children's Hospital. Dr Cheng is also a co-founder of the Family and Immunisation Travel Specialists (FITS). He sees private patients at Cabrini Health Malvern.
Dr Cheng earned his Bachelor's degree in medicine at Monash University, after which he found his passion for Public Health, and undertook his training at John Hopkin's Bloomberg School of Public Health. During this time, Dr Cheng also completed a paediatric fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
Dr Cheng is also actively engaged in systems thinking and design, with the aim to improve digital health at Melbourne Children's Campus Centre for Health Analytics, where he is also appointed Consultant. He also leads clinical research and surveillance of adverse effects following Vaccination for Victoria and the Melbourne Vaccine Education Centre. Dr Cheng holds memberships with Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian Institute of Digital Health.
