Dr Damian Marucci

Associate Professor Damian Marucci is a leading plastic surgeon in Sydney, based at The Aesthetic Day Surgery. He specialises in reconstructive surgery following breast cancer, skin cancer, head and neck cancer, and facial trauma. He also performs cosmetic surgeries such as breast augmentation and reduction, abdominoplasty, and facelift.

A/Prof Marucci is committed to helping his patients to reach their goals and is one of 500 doctors to earn the RealSelf 500 Award which recognises the most highly rated surgeons who have shown consistent positive patient outcomes.

A/Prof Marucci gained his medical qualification from the University of Surrey before completing his training in general surgery. He went on to gain a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as a PhD in surgery. Following this, A/Prof Marucci completed two additional fellowships, the first in plastic, reconstructive, and hand surgery, and the second in craniofacial surgery at the renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London. He then completed a further fellowship in cosmetic surgery under a well-known and respected plastic surgeon at the King Edward VII Hospital in 2007 before starting his private practice.

In 2018, A/Prof Marucci became an associate professor at the University of Sydney where he currently teaches medical students and junior doctors.
