Dr Charlotte Elder

Dr Charlotte Elder is a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Heidelberg, Australia, who is dedicated to supporting patients through all stages of their reproductive health journeys. Dr Elder is particularly passionate about young people's health, transgender health, and helping her patients achieve their full potential in a safe, reassuring, and inclusive environment.

In her clinical practice, Dr Elder offers a diverse range of services across both obstetrics and gynaecology. Her areas of expertise include paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, family planning, contraception, and advanced early pregnancy ultrasound. She is also deeply committed to providing gender-affirming healthcare and managing complex conditions such as pelvic pain in adolescents. Dr Elder completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, alongside a Bachelor of Medical Science, at the University of Melbourne in 2006. Following her initial residency training, she undertook specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology, culminating in her admission as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 2016, she became one of the first Australians to achieve the international IFEPAG fellowship in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology. Additionally, she holds a Clinical Certificate of Physician Ultrasound in advanced early pregnancy and serves as the Chair of the Victorian Regional Committee for her professional college.
