Dr Caroline Lim

Dr Caroline Lim is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive care for a wide range of adult and paediatric eye conditions. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she specialises in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, and the management of medical retinal diseases. Dr Lim is committed to delivering the highest standard of clinical care, utilising advanced diagnostic techniques to help patients achieve optimal visual outcomes and maintain their long-term eye health.

Dr Lim commenced her medical education at a leading university in Western Australia in 2003, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours in 2009. She completed her residency in 2011 and subsequently undertook her advanced specialist Ophthalmology training programme in Western Australia, gaining extensive experience in both adult and paediatric ophthalmology across several major hospitals. To further refine her expertise, she completed a prestigious Cataract Surgery and Medical Retina fellowship at a leading health service in Melbourne. Dr Lim is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO).

In addition to her private clinical practice, Dr Lim is deeply involved in the wider medical community. She holds a public hospital appointment as a Consultant, where she regularly performs cataract and pterygium surgeries. Passionate about education and research, she has served as a Senior Clinical Lecturer, teaching Ophthalmology Registrars and Medical Students. Dr Lim has also contributed to the advancement of her field by publishing research in multiple peer-reviewed journals and presenting her findings at numerous national and international ophthalmology conferences.
