Dr Caroline Jung

Dr Caroline Jung is a highly qualified and dedicated Endocrinologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders. With a clinical approach that is both reassuring and evidence-based, she focuses on diagnosing and managing complex hormonal imbalances. Her clinical interests span a broad spectrum of conditions, including thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal diseases, osteoporosis, and metabolic bone disorders. She is also deeply committed to supporting patients with Type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes, ensuring they receive tailored management plans to optimise their health and well-being.

Dr Jung completed her medical education at the University of Melbourne, graduating with Honours in 1999. She subsequently undertook specialist physician training in Endocrinology, qualifying as a Specialist Physician in 2006. To further her expertise, she completed a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Melbourne in 2011, focusing her doctoral research on the pituitary-adrenal axis. Dr Jung is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, reflecting her high standards of clinical practice and dedication to her field.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Jung is actively involved in medical research and education. She holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Associate Professor, where she contributes to training the next generation of medical professionals and serves as an examiner for Specialist Physician trainees. Her research on hormone regulation, cortisol levels, and adrenal function has been widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at both national and international conferences.
