A/Prof Kirtan Ganda

Associate Professor Kirtan Ganda is an Endocrinologist and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000 and completed advanced training in endocrinology at several major Australian hospitals before being awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2010. In 2014, he completed a PhD at the University of Sydney, with research focused on improving the identification, treatment and long-term management of patients with osteoporosis and fragility fractures.

Alongside his clinical practice, A/Prof Ganda has held a number of research and leadership roles in bone health and fracture prevention. He currently serves as Clinical Lead for the Australian component of the ANZ Fragility Fracture Registry, contributing to national efforts to improve outcomes for patients with osteoporosis-related fractures. In recognition of his research contributions, he was awarded the Professor Philip Sambrook Award for Outstanding Early Career Investigator in 2014.

A/Prof Ganda provides comprehensive endocrinology care for adults with a wide range of hormone-related conditions. His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary disease and other endocrine conditions. He is also involved in patient education and professional education through lectures, public speaking and academic teaching activities.
