Dr Brendan Vote

Clinical Professor Brendan Vote is a highly accomplished Consultant Ophthalmologist based in Launceston, Australia, who is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care. With a primary focus on vitreoretinal diseases, medical retina, and cataract surgery, Dr Vote is committed to delivering advanced, personalised treatments to improve his patients' vision and quality of life. He has a particular interest in managing complex cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic maculopathy, and retinal vascular occlusions. Dr Vote graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 1990. Following his initial medical training, he served as a Medical Officer in the air force before relocating to New Zealand to complete his specialist training in Ophthalmology at the University of Otago in Dunedin. To further refine his expertise, he undertook prestigious sub-specialty fellowships in vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina in Auckland, Brighton, and London.
